About
A specimen, not a costume
Psilocybin is going legal state by state, and the clothing made about it is all festival print or cartoon fungi. We wanted the other thing: something you could wear to dinner, made properly, that says nothing at all.
The mark
The letters are the parts
- The name, drawn
- A stipe is the stem and a cap is the fruiting head. The mark is the S standing as the stipe under an indigo cap, so the name and the mushroom are the same drawing.
- The gills are the print
- Set a cap gills-down on paper and it leaves a spore print, a record of every gill. The fine lines under the rim are that record, densest where the stem stood.
- Indigo is true
- A cubensis bruises blue. That blue is chemically close to indigo, the dye in denim. The brand’s one colour is a fact about the mushroom and already a garment colour.
What we deliberately left out: the cartoon amanita, the spiral, the third eye and the mandala. Those four are the entire vocabulary of this category.
Plainly
What we do and do not do
We make clothing in Los Angeles, and that is all we make.
We do not sell, supply, ship or source psilocybin or any controlled substance. We do not sell spores, cultures or growing equipment, and we do not publish cultivation guidance.
We make no therapeutic claims. Where research is relevant we link to the institution that did it. Our legal record is informational and is not legal advice.
